Dr. Marianne Cintron has been an educator for 20 years and has a passion to help all struggling learners. She believes all students should be given the correct intervention for success in school and in life. She has her MASped, MAEd. She has been a lead classroom teacher for 10 years and is compassionate about challenges faced by parents navigating the IEP process. She has also been an adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University.
Last year she created a nonprofit organization called Step By Step Dyslexia Solutions. Here, her desire is to have dyslexic children develop their literacy skills, realize their full potentials, and positively impact their communities.
She authored A Message of Hope, How Music Enhances Reading for Dyslexic Students, created an OG reading program called Step by Step Reading, and developed a music App called Dunking Dyslexia. OG stands for Orton Gillingham and is the state mandated reading requirement under California AB1369, for assessing for dyslexia and providing intervention.
Dr. Cintron trains teachers and parents in her Step By Step Reading program, serves as an Educational Consultant for Le Roy Haynes – STAR Academy, and is excited to join the Homeschool Coaches serving as a consultant (to train teachers and attend IEPs and assess students for dyslexia). She volunteers in several communities with children-based projects, and volunteers as a board member of the International Dyslexia Association Tri-County Branch, educating teachers and parents about dyslexia.
Dr. Cintron has been married to William for 30 years, and they have three adult kids. They enjoy the Arts, Yosemite, Hawaii, and multi-cultural cuisine.
