At WISH, we strive to create a warm, welcoming program where homeschooling families can express their unique perspectives while maintaining a program dedicated to supporting the diversified home school population in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We provide a variety of classes in both core and elective subjects for kindergarten through twelfth grade, along with several special event days such as science fair, talent show and a full performing arts showcase. We charge a program fee, rather than per class so all can afford our program.
Our classes are designed to motivate children to learn, using hands-on, experiential, game-based and highly themed curriculum. The dynamic and exploratory nature of our classes have students looking forward to exciting weekly adventures together. Whether it's diving into geography through an agent spy mystery, or history and writing through the making of a Medieval or Colonial Town, brain games in our Secret Solvers Society, or inspiring Entrepreneurs by the creation of an entire Pizzeria concept, there is never a dull moment in our classrooms!
Erin Chianese's teaching philosophy centers around challenging young writers to play with language. The more experience a student has with engaging in and stretching writing skills, the richer and smoother that writer’s articulation becomes. She has had the honor and delight to watch many of her students blossom in expression and master the art of writing.
