Andrea Kaufmann is a native Spanish speaker raised in the San Fernando Valley. She obtained her AA in Television & Radio Production from Pasadena City College and a BA from Cal Arts in Film Production. Andrea worked in the film industry for 8 years wearing a variety of hats from camera operator, assistant director, director, commercial coordinator and production supervisor. When she became pregnant with her first child she knew that she wanted to do things unconventionally. She had her firstborn at home and became a stay-at-home mom. She has been home-schooling her children for 3 years and started hosting a “Gameschooling” class as a fun way to enrich skills in math, logic, geography, strategy, and language. The positive response she has received from the kids’ interactions has provided a rewarding experience, and she is very excited to share this class with others at Pathfinders. She enjoys working with elementary students as those were her most memorable academic years. As a young child she attended a private school and has very fond memories of the teachers, field trips and how school was made to be a fun learning environment. She incorporates games, songs and interactive classroom activities that are engaging.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience.
