I have been cooking alongside my grandmother and mother since I was little, how I eventually became inspired to learn everything about the craft of cooking. So four years ago, I started a small business where I teach cooking classes for kids as well as adults, and offer cooking events. I was a school teacher for many years, after receiving my Bachelor’s in Human Development as well as a professional teaching credential. I’ve worked with children of all ages, though I am most passionate about working with students at the elementary school level. My most recent position was as a reading intervention teacher, where I created and implemented the school’s RI program. My business, Amore Kitchen, has been featured on the local news where I’ve done live cooking segments for kids. I enjoy working in partnership with homeschools, nonprofits, the Italian Cultural Center, and Girl Scouts, offering my unique cooking classes and events. Girl Scouts can earn several different culinary badges through my classes, both online and in-person.
