With a desire to continually learn and grow, I am interested in what makes people "tick," psychology (especially child), and how people change. Trained in the Montessori method and different learning styles, I am a committed English Second Language (ESL) and language arts teacher and tutor. I enjoy collaborating with others and problem-solving to improve the learning environment for children. I am a firm believer that if we want change as a society, we should focus on the children- especially early childhood development. After experience in private and public education, I was introduced to and fell in love with the Montessori method. My vocational path led me into teaching ESL and personal tutoring; however, I still look for ways to incorporate the method and my knowledge of learning styles into my work. In my free time, I enjoy learning and reading, experiencing other cultures, and singing. I also enjoy nature, practicing hospitality, and interesting conversation.
