Her focus is teaching at the elementary levels, with an emphasis on math and reading. She’s taught in-class kindergarten to twelfth grade in the special education setting and general education setting. She has tutored a variety of students including those with special needs (ASD, ADD/ADHD, behavior disorders, and medical needs). She has completed a Masters degree in Special Education from California Polytechnic University along with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. Jessica teaches with the aim of understanding a child’s needs and motivations. “My goal is to always find out where the student is performing academically and support their needs while having fun and engaging in learning!” She is a devoted homeschooler, and is currently teaching her own 2 children. She’s highly involved in her children’s learning and loves supporting her kids and her community in educational adventures. Jessica enjoys the outdoors and tries to get out as much as possible, being with her family, and modeling the idea of putting other people’s needs in front of her own.
All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy.
