He earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance on full music/academic scholarship in Azusa Pacific University in 2018. Homeschooled from birth through high school, Daniel's deep love of teaching began with giving instrumental and theory lessons to his siblings. At age fifteen, Daniel began teaching piano, violin, viola, music theory, and instrumental ensemble outside the home, initially, in the homes of other homeschoolers. Young Daniel even taught parents alongside their children so the parents could reinforce the learning throughout the school week, and so family members could perform together. To date, Daniel has taught students ages three to eighty! His teaching philosophy is that everyone learns better when they enjoy what they are learning, and when music-making is enjoyable, students are more likely to stay with it. Daniel wants his students to experience the satisfaction of making consistent progress, and above all, to love and appreciate music. Daniel's students learn that daily practice enables beautiful music-making. Daniel can testify that achievement in music study begets achievement in academic and life pursuits, that music study builds character and a work ethic. He knows that youngsters who make music are generally happier and more likely to stay on the right path. Daniel always strives to ensure his students enjoy making music so they will learn more and be more likely to stay with it. He wants students to enjoy the satisfaction of making consistent progress, and above all, to love and appreciate music.
