SUBJECTS: Art, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Theatre/Set Design, Elementary Science, Cooking, Fieldtrips, Biblical Studies, Drama/Acting CLASSES: Kinesthetic Learning (Art and Science) My name is Kristi Dixon, and I am a wife, mom, grandma and a lifelong creative artist. I began to assist in teaching our grandchildren last school year in their homeschool environment. We all had a fantastic experience, and I was excited to tutor them again. I taught preschool for many years before staying home to raise our children. I enjoy volunteering in different capacities at our church of over 24 years. Much of my time has been with the children’s ministry in one capacity or another, from teaching to their safety. Over the last 25 years, I’ve owned a small business that concentrates on art, crafts and baking. One of my joys is that I get to bake custom sugar cookies for my customer’s special occasions, as well as party plan and create their decorations. Regarding tutoring, I enjoy teaching by incorporating the things I love with art and science to make it a hands-on learning time. Kinesthetic teaching is my preferred means of student learning. I believe children benefit and thrive in environments where they have an actual experience with the subject in which they are being taught.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience. Should you ever feel that these lessons do not match your expectations, please contact us to receive a refund on your remaining balance or to be matched with a different instructor.
