LESSON FEES: $50 for a 30-minute lesson $60 for a 45-minute lesson $80 for a 60-minute lesson CITIES: Online SUBJECTS: Choir, Music Theory, Drums, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Voice, Recorder and a combination of different subjects/instruments Ricardo Hurtado is a board-certified music therapist graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy. Ricardo Hurtado has been working with children in music education and performance settings for more than 25 years. In addition, Ricardo Hurtado is specialized in working with children with disabilities and meeting the needs of a wide variety of special needs populations in educational and therapeutic settings. Along with a long-term commitment to helping students discover and develop their artistic music skills, Ricardo Hurtado has been particularly passionate in discovering new and innovative ways to combine music therapy and music education approaches. For this reason, Ricardo Hurtado has developed the CYBERSTRA™ Method (formerly known as the Cyber Orchestra Method), a music education virtual orchestra program designed for mainstream classrooms to teach essential music-ed concepts and standard and to facilitate a learner-friendly keyboard-orchestra ensemble experience with specific modifications to special learners. Furthermore, Ricardo Hurtado served as conference presenter at the Music Meets Medicine Conference 2019, Mollow College NY, hosted by the Interdisciplinary Society of Quantitative Research on Music and Medicine (ISQRMM); where he provided research findings done in collaboration with the University of Georgia music therapy director. In addition, Ricardo Hurtado served as Special Education clinician at the Music Educator Association (CMEA) Southwestern 2019 Conference, Azusa Pacific University CA. Ricardo Hurtado currently works as a General Music Teacher/ Therapy Specialist and Children Choir Director at Hooper Avenue Elementary School. In addition, Ricardo oversees the special needs education department at and provides continuous training and support to more than forty teachers in special education. Ricardo Hurtado remains as an active member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and maintains in compliance with all necessary and mandatory continuing education and standards procedures required by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy.
