BIO

I love homeschooling! It allows for so much wonderful flexibility and tailoring of education to each student’s needs. I am not only experienced as a homeschooling parent of 6, but I was also homeschooled myself. Before homeschooling my own children, I worked in administration for a distance-learning program for ten years helping other families navigate teaching their children at home.

Having a passion for history, geography, and voice, I love to teach these subjects to students. I find a small group setting to be ideal in discussing, reviewing, and reenacting history and geography to help make it come alive. As for voice, I love to teach students through individual coaching or through group collaboration to make beautiful music.

Academics are not the only thing students need to thrive. More than ever, parents need to prioritize fitness and movement in their children’s lives. I am passionate about children learning a variety of sports and games to help regularly engage in an active lifestyle. My favorite form of physical education is volleyball and I’ve greatly enjoyed teaching beginner classes in the sport.
