She quickly realized her love for working with children and pursued her Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Chapman University. With over 20 consistent years of teaching and leadership in both public and independent schools, Jessica brings experience, empathy, excitement, enrichment, and expertise to each individual she works with. Differentiation is essential when tailoring learning for the individual’s Zone of Proximal Development, or the right amount of challenge and support for the greatest learning. Jessica specializes in providing detailed reading, writing, and mathematics assessments K-8, as well as an action plan for growth over time. Her unique ability to teach the highly gifted or those needing extreme intervention has given her a wide range of clients over the years. Jessica brings joy and laughter to her sessions, often creating reinforcement games or playful learning scenarios that encourage kids to engage innately (whether in person or online). Through these interactions she evaluates the individual and designs for that child’s success. Algebra I and Algebra II are specialty areas, whether teaching these concepts to ten year olds or adults! She is patient, flexible, and always provides multiple ways for you to understand the material. Each session with Jessica builds confidence and promotes positivity.
