About this Instructor

LESSON FEES: $35 for a 30-minute lesson $40 for a 45-minute lesson $45 for a 60-minute lesson SUBJECTS: Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 My name is Josh and I am a first year Business student at UC Riverside. I was homeschooled from Pre-K all the way through eighth grade until I attended a public high school. I grew up doing the Singapore math curriculum and attribute my strong math skills towards that. I always performed strongly in math in high school and found myself thoroughly enjoying helping classmates with homework and assignments. I believe that I have a good natural ability to simplify topics and articulate my thoughts in order to explain them to other people. I just recently finished my first quarter of college Calculus, another class I thoroughly enjoyed and once again found myself informally tutoring classmates. As a math tutor, I know that many kids struggle with math and find themselves saying that math is their least favorite subject. I hope to change that for as many people as possible and to help my students not only succeed in their work, but enjoy it. A little bit about me - in my spare time I love going to the gym and lifting weights as well as spending time with my friends. In high school I played football, basketball, and ran track and I continue to enjoy playing those sports recreationally. I am the youngest of 3 children and have two older brothers. Additionally, my mom is also a tutor at Home School Coaches. I look forward to working with students and meeting new people!
