About this Instructor

LESSON FEES: $35 for a 30-minute lesson $45 for a 45-minute lesson $55 for a 60-minute lesson SUBJECTS: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, Calculus AB, Philosophy, Logic, General Writing, Essay Writing, Creative Writing, Literature, Grammar/Spelling, AP English Literature and Composition My father likes to joke that teaching is in my DNA. My grandmother, my father, and my sister have all been educators, so I have grown up respecting and emulating teachers my whole life. I believe it is one of the greatest opportunities to work with students and help them learn to love education as much as I do. I received my Bachelor’s in English and Writing from Loyola University Maryland in 2019, before relocating to San Diego. I am currently a graduate student at San Diego State University studying Philosophy, where I have had the privilege to teach a Critical Thinking and Composition class for the past school year. I am also working on obtaining my California Teaching Credential at SDSU. Outside of academics, I love to kayak, read and write poetry, and play board games. I am currently learning Judo! I teach by meeting each child where they are, and by incorporating their interests into each lesson.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience. Should you ever feel that these lessons do not match your expectations, please contact us to receive a refund on your remaining balance or to be matched with a different instructor.
