COACH BIO: An educator for more than 20 years, Janet has taught in various contexts including at home with her daughter through grades 6-12, Independent Study Programs, Foothill Country Day School, the Rift Valley, Our Neighborhood Homework House, Pomona Valley Art Association, The Grunewald Guild, and The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation. She is currently tutoring three elementary students. She approaches each lesson intent on students understanding why learning the subject material matters. She holds degrees in Kinesiology and Public Health and has worked in outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing facilities. Work and pleasure have taken Janet to four continents, including several unforgettable treks in Himalaya. Every land and culture have been inspirational and educational. Janet’s bookish self is completing a collection of reflections that highlights minor characters in the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. She and her husband, Todd Frantz, live with Pinwheel the Cat in La Verne, CA. Relay Race Tutoring

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience.
