Music, Dance, and Drama have always played a big role in Julie's life history. Starting out in youth choirs and plays, then joining dance companies and regional theatre, Julie eventually completed her journeyman-ship in 1990 with an international pantomime and performing arts troupe. This experience led to not only performing worldwide but also teaching the art forms of mime, dance, and acting.
Other local theatrical training includes Pasadena City College and Actors Co-op in Hollywood. Since 2017, Julie's teaching has expanded to include music and singing through her work with local homeschool co-ops, public schools, and private theatre companies, providing a well-rounded approach to performing arts. Her work in recent years moved beyond teaching into producing & directing 20+ musical shows and multi-genre presentations for both school-aged students and adults, leading to the formation and co-ownership of Radiant Theatre Arts, which exists to bring quality performing arts instruction and show experience to students and artists in the Los Angeles area. —Julie Welch, Radiant Theatre Arts
