ABOUT THIS TUTOR
I am an experienced high school English teacher and college English professor with my Master’s degree in English, Rhetoric, and Composition. I am passionate about helping students find joy in reading and their voices in writing. I have tutored students (both individually and in groups) from 3rd to graduate school for 8 years and have been teaching for 6 years.
I have assisted hundreds of native and non-native learners in learning to read, analyze literature, and write. Each student learns differently, and working with many students has enabled me to identify specific techniques that are creative and useful for any student. Many of the students I have worked with (including those with learning disabilities) have increased their grade two levels while working with me. My knowledge of both high school and college learning outcomes is additionally useful for those looking to get into college after high school.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the tutor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some tutors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Homeschool Coaches’ policy.
