Marianne did her undergraduate work at the University of La Verne and completed student teaching courses there, taking time off to begin a family, learning more about teaching students of all ages in various settings along the way. She received her degree from Charter Oak State College, and went on to gain a Masters, along with a CTE (Career Technical Education) Credential in seven subject areas. She speaks Spanish, and a little Russian, bolstered by travels in regions of the world where those languages are spoken, and from the Exchange Program. She has worked with students in a variety of educational settings - traditional schools, homeschools, a privately owned tutoring clinic, and charter schools, along with individual clients over long term. She has designed and held a private Russian Exchange Summer program for twenty years focusing on conversational English, American history and culture with daily classes and activities, along with establishing a resource school for homeschoolers grades K – 12 in the US, and an educational program in Zimbabwe. Her most recent favorite educational time was being part of a team who were equipping teachers in Kurdistan, Iraq! Marianne has a very positive approach to every student and every subject, believing in the student and the many available tools at hand. With a personalized approach to each one, there is little opportunity for failure, as lessons are tailored to a student’s level and needs.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience. Should you ever feel that these lessons do not match your expectations, please contact us to receive a refund on your remaining balance or to be matched with a different instructor.
