My first passion was singing and songwriting. I earned a certificate in Vocal Performance from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. I have been a songwriter and lead vocalist/background vocalist in several bands of various styles. Recently, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Cal State University, Northridge. My degree is in music with piano being my main instrument. I have been a piano teacher for more than two years, teaching beginning piano. Additionally, I paired my music studies with child development and enhancing learning through music for children, as I believe that music is a perfect avenue to teach academic and life skills such as critical thinking, and social and emotional learning. I believe in fostering a love for music through creativity and fun. My teaching style combines positive reinforcement using playfulness with structured learning making it enjoyable for children to explore melodies, rhythms, and harmonies.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience.
