LESSON FEES: $55 for a 30-minute lesson $70 for a 45-minute lesson $85 for a 60-minute lesson SUBJECTS: History, Social Studies, World History, General Writing, Essay Writing, Creative Writing, Literature, Grammar/Spelling, Reading Comprehension, Reading BILINGUAL IN: Armenian COACH BIO: Trina was one of those kids who always knew what she wanted to be when she grew up, a teacher, and it has always stayed her passion. In middle school, Trina spent countless hours reading books and writing poetry. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, she attended Macquarie University right out of high school and completed a Bachelor of Arts program with a Major in English and Minor in History. She followed this with a Graduate Diploma in Education which is the equivalent of a Teaching Credential in the United States. After teaching for a couple of years, working with both middle and high school students in ELA, History and ESL, she moved to the USA after meeting and marrying the love of her life. Since moving to the United States, Trina has worked on and off in ELA classrooms over the years, mostly as a Casual or Substitute Teacher. She has also worked as a tutor for a number of years and most recently works as an Online Book Club and Debate teacher. Her favorite thing about teaching is connecting with students and especially witnessing that ‘lightbulb’ moment when a student grasps something new for the very first time, it never gets old. Though a teacher, Trina views herself foremost as a lifelong leaner, she enjoys to learn from all of the students she has the pleasure to work with.
