In addition to teaching flute and voice, you’ll find her in the recording studio (where she writes her own songs) or leading music at her church. You can count on Merritt for lessons that encourage and challenge students to grow in their skills while reinforcing a love and joy of music. Merritt’s experience enables her to teach students the necessary foundations of music theory, sight reading and the art of public performance in all its shapes and sizes. In her spare time, you’ll find Merritt in the tidepools of Malibu hunting for beautiful seashells, buying more plants than she has room for, and trying to convince her husband their lives won’t be complete without a puppy.
