During her time in college, Carolyn taught Sunday School at her church while also tutoring many of the kids at her youth group. She has a strong foundation in Math, English, History, and Biology/Earth Science as well as an expertise in Sociology, Statistics, and Writing. She also understands the demands of homeschool families as she attended, and excelled in, an independent study program from 5th-12th grade, which bears many similarities to homeschool programs. Carolyn’s goal in any subject is to make learning enjoyable and strengthen the foundations that already exist. She provides tools for students to be successful in the future whether that’s giving resources or tips that she picked up over the years of education. Carolyn is an animal person through and through and has a passion for learning and teaching about them. She also loves all things cars and motorsport (Formula 1 is her favorite!) and enjoys reading of all kinds. Her favorite book series is “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” but she enjoys all of Rick Riordan’s series.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy. We truly want these lessons to support your educational goals, so feel free to share your expectations with your coach; this will enable them to provide you with a uniquely customized learning experience. Should you ever feel that these lessons do not match your expectations, please contact us to receive a refund on your remaining balance or to be matched with a different instructor.
