About this Coach
LESSON FEES: $65 for a 30-minute lesson $85 for a 45-minute lesson $105 for a 60-minute lesson IN-PERSON LESSON LOCATIONS: Winnetka (Studio) SUBJECTS: Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Piano COACH BIO: After receiving a BA in Special Performance from UC Santa Barbara, Ms. Horrocks delved into professional vocal accompanying while furthering her classical piano studies. In time she discovered a passion for teaching and taught classes and private lessons at the Yamaha Music School in Sherman Oaks while also becoming the music director at the Calmont School. Developing her own curriculum, she set up a private studio specializing in elementary through college preparatory piano education and is a judge and chairperson for the American College of Musicians. Although classically trained, she embraces all styles of playing and considers the development and fostering of a love for music her primary focus. The study of music in relation to special needs such as dyslexia and autism can offer pathways to enhanced overall development, and she welcomes such opportunities and has experience in these areas.

All cancellations or schedule changes must be made directly with the instructor by 6 p.m. the night before a lesson to avoid a full lesson penalty fee. Some instructors may provide you with written notification outlining a different cancellation/penalty policy. This policy will supersede Home School Coaches’ policy.
